Coolturistes is a group of anonymous artists and theoreticians whose actions are tied to gender issues, public space and living environment.
Video Monika or Very Much Thank You for Your Attention is a warning delivered via an apt image to the so-called new European states that lately enthusiastically joined the European Union. Monika stands on the pedestrian bridge leading to the new shopping mall Europa in Vilnius. The girl in a grey office skirt suit beckons to the viewer in slow motion the gestures familiar from the flight attendants' safety demonstration before a flight take-off. She points to the emergency instructions and safety jacket, in case the plane would need to make an emergency landing. The scene is set to the solemn finale of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9.
