Elin Hansdottir’s slide series displays documentary photos from different demonstrations where people carry slogans to express their protest, demands and positions. Only the text has been cleared from the posters. Based on their expressions, their dress, the surroundings, we can only guess what are the demands of the people, made mute and silent in such a way. Has anything changed due to their protest? Will anything ever change?
The artist gives no certain answer.
