HANS ROSENSTRÖM

1978 Lohja. Lives in Helsinki

Her Presence Still. Installation, sound, 2007

Hans Rosenström builds big and total technically complicated installations. His works often hold a strong psychological aspect – the viewer is guided to a built physical structure, inside which the movements of the visitor affect changes in lighting and sound, this in turn influences the mood of the person moving in the labyrinth, until there is no difference between the physical and psychological space.
When entering the installation space, one first needs to listen to a story and then move on. Just see, what happens. The psychological spaces of Hans Rosenström have the biggest influence when the viewers have the opportunity to pace through them one at a time.
